Long Gallery Harlem exists to exhibit, celebrate emerging artists and the rich cultural tradition within which they operate. By offering a residency program, gallery space, appraisal and marketplace services, a curated Black Art Calendar, and more, the Gallery maintains its dedication to and celebration of those on the vanguard of the contemporary arts. Among those who have exhibited previously in the Gallery are TKTKTK, TKTKTK, TKTKTK, TKTKTK, and TKTKTK.
The initial inspiration for Long Gallery Harlem was the strong portrait photography tradition of Harlem — as captured through the lens of James Van Der Zee during the Harlem Renaissance.
