THE SPECS
Our open, flexible, contemporary storefront gallery space accommodates up to 75 people standing-room-only, 50 people comfortably seated, and 30 people for dining experiences. With a state-of-the-art SONOS sound system, moveable display wall, full-scale basement level, and 50” high-definition display, the gallery is an ideal venue for open-air public forums, intimate receptions, performances, dinners, film and photo shoots, screenings, private fundraising events, and more. Located in the heart of one of NYC’s cultural meccas, Long Gallery Harlem offers a range of amenities and services that characterize it as a premiere beacon for arts, culture, and community. As a configurable gallery space, LGH can be customized to serve open-air public programs, private venues for intimate engagements, and everything in between. With neighbors including the National Black Theatre, Studio Museum, Apollo Theater, and Columbia University, the Gallery is always connected to what’s happening right now. Founder and Director Lewis Long has spent the past decade hosting exhibitions and events and fostering relationships in the community and beyond — and will work with you to ensure your next event is one to remember.
PREVIOUS EVENTS AT LGH
Long Gallery Harlem has hosted a wide range of events and celebrations since its founding in 2012. Some of these from recent years include The 1619 Project Netflix Production, the IMPACT WITH HEART Gala by the American Heart Association, the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, and as an offsite venue for the Apollo Theater.
